‘Burghound in Asia 2011: Unrivaled Passion for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

On the 8 to 10 April, Hermitage Wines together with The Wandering Palate were proud to launch ‘Burghound in Asia 2011: Unrivaled Passion for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay’. The spectacular event was hosted at the luxurious St Regis hotel saw the attendance of over a thousand wine aficionados, along with the participation of over a hundred vineyards from across the continent.

These numbers reflect a growing trend in wine as more and more Singaporeans are becoming affluent, and appreciative of this refine drink. Could Singapore someday have its own vineyard somewhere up in the North? What’s more : as Singapore strives to become a regional hub for international wine events and conventions, given its favourable weather and immaculate streets.

Also part of the event was a series of Master Class conducted by notable wine experts like Allen Meadows, who in conjunction launched his newest book entitled ‘Pearl of the Cote’.
